- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine: Boil in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled Italian sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: Melt butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and milk, then bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Combine ingredients: Return the sausage to the sauce, then add the cooked fettuccine. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
