Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup strawberry liqueur optional
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (3 oz) ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • strawberry shavings or cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and strawberry liqueur (if using). Let sit for 30 minutes to macerate.
  • In a large bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, beat mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in whipped cream.
  • Dip ladyfingers in milk for a few seconds.
  • In a serving dish, layer ladyfingers, strawberry mixture, and mascarpone cream. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with mascarpone cream.
  • Dust with strawberry shavings or cocoa powder.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For best results, let the tiramisu chill overnight to enhance the flavors. You can substitute strawberry liqueur with orange juice for a non-alcoholic version. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
